cousins

We went to Madie's (Diane's oldest) baptism feb 28th. It was tons of fun and all the kids love spending time with their cousins. Cullen's especially i think if you asked him who is best friend was madie would be it. So ofcourse we played hard the night before and the day of the baptism. Maybe a bit too hard because before the program got started all three of my kids, fell asleep (hard). I never have all my kids napping at the same time. We decided to wake up Cullen because he really wanted to see Madie get baptized. It was like pulling a lead balloon down the hallway. But he made it. All the cousins were suppost to sing "I am a Child of God" afterward. but Alec, and Sophia were asleep so Madie, Cullen and Olivia sang. They did pretty well, even though during the chorus Cullen was "yawning" the words. Everyone couldn't help but laugh, it would have been a great "funniest home video".
After the baptism we had to mad dash over to the other church building where Diane was having a "light" dinner. if you think 2 appetizers, Korean Beef, Pasta with roasted garlic sauce, salad, a fruit plate, and a bread plate is light. We also had mini cupcakes, and chocolate mouse cups for dessert. it was lovely, and soooo yum. Sophia slept through all of it, just like this. when she woke up though she said "madie aren't you so excited that you're almost baptized?" no one really had the heart to tell her that she missed it about 3 hours ago. we had to take a picture of her, so cute with her bum in the air.

we rarely get pictures of diane and my kids together... happy, smily, looking at the camera. So we were so happy to get this shot. isn't Lily so cute, all there looking cute in the front. we sure do have a good group of cousins. it truly was a special day and you could tell that Madie was touched, was a super good girl. (i can't believe she is 8 though.)
