Spring Break Smith Visit

So for the next week of spring break, I went to my other sisters house Delaine who lives in Phoenix. This would be my first time driving to Phoenix and by myself with all three of the kids,(james had to go back to school). Our trip was full! The kids did really well in the car and we made good time. I was happy to be there though. Our trip was full of kid fun. We went to the zoo (only 6 bucks for all of us) the library which was fun and huge, swimming everyday, the train park and picnic, the mesa temple Easter pageant (awesome),chocolate factory, and the drive in. It was packed and the kids came home exhausted every night! The kids loved being with Liam and Everett, just playing toys and legos. It was just good to spend time with Delaine and not be rushed.

Easter Clothes

Every year we get matching outfits for the kids for easter. This year it was blue... i'm sure cullen was happy with that. They looked so cute, i can't believe we got a picture of them all together before 9am church, but we did and here they are... so cute.

Spring Break Ferrari Visit

Cullen got two weeks for spring break this year, which is awesome, and James being a teacher also gets spring break but only for a week. so we always like to spend sometime with the ferrari's up in pleasanton. So we planned our trip and left after school and spent about 5 days with them. This trip included... wii (ofcourse but mostly diane and i on guitars), waterslides, BBQs, science museum, big slide park, cleaning up day after day of 6 kids, settlers, rockets, good food, and just plain fun. everyone was so sad to say goodbye, they always have a hard time but we always see them again.

pajama story time

Sophia's preschool had a pajama party where they came at night and listened to stories from the students studying early childhood at AVC. The students had to pick a book and bring an activity or something fun that goes along with their book. Cullen got to come and was so excited to see that he could read all the books they were listening to and asked one of them if he could read the story. Some of the students were awesome one making a whole quilt with little things that everyone got to attach that went with the story. but some couldn't even get the kids to pay attention... change your major! my kids favorite was a story about a farm and got to do some dancing. they loved it. Sophia and her friend kaylyn were laughing so hard. one of my least favorites was about a little girl that didn't have a doll so she made a rock her doll. the student let everyone make things out of rocks and sticks using their imagination, but they had to give them back. booo! it was a fun night... i'm so glad i decided to leave lily home with daddy.

puppet show

cullen went on his second field trip of the year to LPAC to see hanzel and gretel. i thought it was going to be a play but found out when we got there is was a puppet show, with only two guys running the whole show. it was pretty neat to watch. but the witch was a little scary with her flying around on her broom and her glowing red eyes. i was excited that i got to go too. it was so cold and windy that day i really just wanted to run back to the car and drive home but we waited till all the kids were on the bus before we left. fun day.

Girls Room

I've been working on decorating and organizing my girls room for a while now and this is how it came out. ofcourse i had help from my mom, she had made sophia her princess quilt about a year ago and i wanted a matching one for lily but we couldn't find fabric that we like that matched, so being the great grandma that she is she took the fabric off of the back of sophias, cut it up to put on the squares for lily's put new backing on both and had to retie them. crazy but it looks so cute. All the squares have different princess things on them, even with their names a glass slipper, happily ever after and so forth. i covered cardboard letters with paper and embelishment and did my own vinyl lettering on my cricket. i really like the way it turned out.
